Schultz family trip July 2014-Day 2

We made it to the train station, without much time to spare!  Thank goodness!!! 

The train ride up the coast was beautiful!  It was about a 4 hr trip, but so relaxing. 

 

 

Vancouver.....is amazing!  I would have loved to spend a few more days there!  Since we had such an early train, we did get much of the day to explore the area near out port hotel.  Speaking of the hotel, the Pan Pacific is an incredible place to stay.  It's a little pricey, but so worth it. 

We quickly checked in to our room (& had heard that our luggage was on it's way Atlanta-Minneapolis-Vancouver & would be delivered later that day), then head out in search of food.  Just across the street was a neat restaurant with their own craft beer. 

Excellent food & beer!!!!  After, we got tickets for Fly Over Canada.  It is a simulated ride, much like Soarin' in Disney, but much longer & more detailed.  Super fun!  We took the opportunity to walk around the pier & watch the float planes & other boats come & go.  We also saw the Olympic torch-so cool!!!!!

 

We actually spent the rest of the day walking around the pier area-the weather was gorgeous & we just wanted to take it all in.  Later that evening, we ate outside at another wonderful restaurant.

 

It was such a wonderful day!!!!!
